Petroleum Goodies: P-wave

P-wave: An elastic body wave or sound wave where particles oscillate in the path the wave develops. P-waves are the waves evaluated in traditional seismic data.

P-waves incident on an interface at other than regular incidence can generate reflected and transmitted S-waves, then simply referred to as converted waves. Generally found in geophysics.

Calculate Shrinkage Based on Temperature Change

This tool is very useful to estimate new shrinkage based on temperature change. Input parameters consist of original shrinkage and temperature, specific gravity at 60 deg F, and new temperature. Output calculation will be new shrinkage at 60 deg F and at new required temperature and gas oil ratio. Another handy tool from Easy Test.
